Rouge Vif D’Etampes pumpkin is a classic heirloom, mentioned as "the most popular pumpkin in Parisian markets of the 1880s" and introduced to the US market by Burpee seeds in 1883. Also called the Cinderella pumpkin, the attractive shape and color make this a phenomenal decoration for autumn displays, but it is more than just a pretty pumpkin! The cooked flesh has a sweet flavor and creamy texture. This makes it ideal for baked goods and savory recipes. In fact, it pairs well with just about everything, from cooked fruit to poultry. Stores about 6 months after harvest.
